The American Society of Landscape Architects has replaced its headquarters' 3,300 square foot roof with an accessible green roof to demonstrate its benefits and the principal of stewardship and education on which ASLA was founded. CDF worked with Michael VanValkenberg's office to design and engineer an accessible system exhibiting both extensive and semi-intensive green roof systems. The ASLA intends to monitor the roof's rain water retention performance and temperature.
